HANLEY Farm Shop and Café at Tidenham, near Chepstow, has been recognised at the best Small Farm Shop of the Year 2016 for the entire UK.

FARMA, the trade body representing around 500 farm retailers across the UK, announced the winners of the national farm retail and farmer Lyndon Edwards proudly accepted the award on behalf of the Hanley Farm Shop team at the annual FARMA conference earlier this month.

“We were absolutely delighted to hear that we’d won the title,” said Lyndon.

“An enormous thank you to our staff and customers for their support and continual feedback which has helped to make constant improvements in order to receive this prestigious recognition as the Small Farm Shop of the Year for the whole of the UK.

“Thank you to everyone who helped us to get started nearly three years ago and worked with us along the way – the designers of the building, builders, contractors and, of course, all of our farmers, growers and local food producers who provide us with the very best fresh and tasty local produce.

“We strongly believe in keeping things local, not just for keeping things fresh but also because of the incredible range of produce which is hiding just around the corner waiting to be discovered.”
