THE Blood Sisters and Dracula, complete with capes and fangs, joined forces with Moriarty and Quasimodo in a thoroughly rocky horror musical carried out with hearty aplomb by Woolaston School pupils.
Called 'The Dracula Rock Show' it featured year six pupils not only playing the parts of Count Dracula and his brides, but also Shirley Holmes (sister of Sherlock?) and Jagged Mick, after a well known Rolling Stone.
Judy Powell who helped organise the show was full of praise for the pupils.
"This was an hour and a half performance, the longest I've ever tackled. It was quite daunting, a lot of songs – mostly rock and roll – and a lot of dancing. But the children were fantastic. The costumes and make-up was brilliant as was the scenery, all cobwebs and spiders. We even had smoke machines to add to the atmosphere."
