A NEWSPAPER reports that the Shoreline Management Plan (http://www.westofwalessmp.org">www.westofwalessmp.org) predicts a two metre rise in sea levels in the next 50 to 100 years. This would not only make Monmouth tidal but should put the Monmouthshire County Council's 400 new houses on the floodplain at Wonastow Road in an interesting position.

I expect that most of MCCs councillors and officers will be comfortably retired by then (or dead) but perhaps our young people should 'make for the hills'!
