I WOULD like to thank the staff at Tesco in Lydney for their help and concern on Monday April 27 when I was taken ill half way through doing my shopping. I met a friend who works there, Roger, who said if I still felt bad he would get someone, but I soldiered on but could eventually go no further.

I took Roger's advice and called for help, and I could not have had more concern from the staff. They took over, with the help of the store's first aider.

They got me in a wheelchair, gave me a glass of water, finished my shopping for me, packed it and put it in the car while the lady first-aider phoned my husband to come down.

He took me to the doctors. Luckily it was just a bad case of vertigo and high blood pressure for which I am still being treated. I cannot thank you all enough for the concern and help you all gave me. – B. A. Sheppard, Lydney.
