A YOUNG Forest girl is appealing to the public to help find her ‘best friend’ and pet Hot Dog.
Her mum, Jennie said: “Hot Dog is a loving family dog. I fear she could be the latest victim of a spate of dog thefts in the area. We are offering a substantial cash reward for her safe return.
“We live in Bream and think she may have got lost on her way home. Any information would be gratefully received.”
Daisy received Hot Dog at the age of two and a half and says she named her after experiencing her first hot dog on Bonfire Night.
She said: “I didn’t know many words as I was a late speaker but had just had my first hot dog at a Bonfire Night then a few weeks later it was only logical for me to call her ‘Hot Dog’.
“She really is my best friend and I want her back home.”
Jennie added: “Daisy can’t remember a time without Hot Dog, she has had her most of her life.
“Hot Dog is very affectionate and is a mix-bred mongrel. She is black with tan markings and fortunately is microchipped. She has a red collar with no tag.
“Daisy is devastated as are the whole family. The house feels so empty without her and we are desperate to get her back.
“Daisy hopes that Hot Dog is safe and being looked after by some nice people that could see it in their hearts to return her to her family whose lives will never be the same without her.”
