THE chase for Chase is on!

Leading the charge will be Lydney's professional boxer Chris Higgs. He has pledged to run 80 miles to boost a bid to raise £40,000 – the cost of an operation to help little Chase Morgan, of Monmouth, beat cerebral palsy. The treatment is not available on the NHS.

Chris is to run from his home in Lydney, through Chepstow, and over the Severn Bridge – and back again! – three times in three days. The first run is on October 27.

It is hoped his contribution will help fundraisers reach their target in double quick time.

Supporters are planning a series of other events to for the appeal called 'A big wish for Chase'.

They say: "The aim is to give Chase the best chance of leading a normal life when she is older."
