NEXT May a new mayor of Coleford will be elected by Coleford Town Council and before that happens I wanted to take the opportunity to thank all those people who have made my term of office so pleasurable.
To the Town Council members who have been so supportive and have worked tirelessly beside me to promote Coleford Town, of which we are all very proud; to the Carnival of Transport committee; the Switched-On Community Arts and Entertainment Project; the BT Project; Royal British Legion; to our Emergency Services and St John Ambulance; the Churches and our traders; to the Rotary Club for the superb conker championship and, of course, John Hamel, Mike Hodges and all those volunteers who have been seen each Sunday for weeks in the pouring rain putting up our Christmas lights.
To all those people and the many, many more who work so hard for the benefit and enjoyment of the people of Coleford – thank you!
I have really enjoyed being the chairman of Coleford Town Council and I am very proud to have been mayor of Coleford. I wish the next mayor success and hope that he/she will enjoy being mayor as much as I have.
