A CONCERT celebrating 50 Years of Forest Rock, magnificently organised by Jenny Green, was held on Saturday, October 8, at Oaklands, Cinderford, with bands Sundown, Network, Tanglefoot, Kilgaron and Shoey and the Castelles performing.

Twenty five years ago, Jenny helped with the organisation of a concert with these bands and she came up with the great idea to get them to reform and play again to raise funds for charity.

Jenny’s chosen charity, Hope for Tomorrow, is a national cancer charity dedicated to bringing cancer treatment closer to patients’ homes.

The Gloucestershire mobile chemotherapy unit comes to the Dilke hospital one day a week, where patients can have their chemotherapy treatment in a restful environment closer to home, saving stressful, long-distance travelling to Cheltenham.

Through Jenny’s excellent organisational skills, £3,641.60 was raised and has been donated to Hope for Tomorrow to be used on the Gloucestershire mobile chemotherapy unit.
