ROCK legend Engelbert Humperdinck may soon be meeting the Forest choir which has restyled his classic hit "Please Release Me" to raise awareness of Meningitis research.

In fact, there may even be a chance the singer, who lives in Los Angeles, would re-record it together with the singers.

Drybrook and District Male Voice Choir's "Please Retweet Me" video on the net (http://www.PleaseReTweetMe.com">www.PleaseReTweetMe.com) has received nearly 23,000 hits in the few months it has been released.

And now Renegade Media of Gloucester, whose founder Mark Terry-Lush wrote the lyrics for Please Retweet Me, says he has been in touch with Engelbert's manager, Scott Dorsey, who says the great man would like to meet the choir while on a tour of the UK in a few weeks.

Mark said he was delighted with the success of the website which links directly through to the Meningitis Trust's Facebook page.

"After all, if it saves only one life it will have been all worthwhile," he said.

The choir too is delighted with the wide exposure they have received from the recording.

"The guys are really pleased with its success, even though some of them have never seen it since they don't own computers!" said musical director Sarah Waycott.

"And it would be fantastic to meet Engelbert Humperdinck. His record was a huge hit at the time and the idea he might actually re-record it with the choir is very exciting."
