G'DAY! If you get along to Longhope's Dick Whittington Farm Park there's a wizard sight that has park owners reeling with delight – a rare albino wallaby!

Owner Chris Turney said the birth came out of the blue. "Our Wallaby joeys usually arrive round about February," he told us on Tuesday. "So this one is late – but very striking and very welcome."

For the moment he hasn't a name but he's due to settle in at the Park with its other animals, preparing to welcome visitors through summer and especially through the school holidays. Though he's terribly shy he is already a firm favourite with staff. "He's lovely," one told us admiringly.

That's not the only news in the park – the Forest Model Village, formerly based in Lydney, is hoping to find a new home on the site in the near future.
