YORKLEY Primary School finished the week on a high as they launched rockets with a scientist.
Clive Purchase, of Callington Space Centre, in Cornwell, visited the school last Friday to round-off National Science Week.
Kate Fyffe at the school said: "Clive's day at Yorkley was the culmination of a whole week of scientific experiences to celebrate National Science Week. We made moon buggies, had a planetarium brought into our school hall where all classes visited it and saw the star constellations, and built and launched our own rockets. The aim was to get an egg back to earth without breaking it with Clive's help."
Science teacher, Lesley Payne added: "Clive has worked for NASA and is passionate about inspiring young people to believe that they could be the next space astronaut as long as they believe and never give up."
