THE long-running dispute between Two Rivers Housing Association and homeowners has reached what's likely to be its final court showdown.

A trial before His Honour Judge McCahill started at Bristol County Court on Tuesday (October 18) and will determine whether or not the Forest's largest housing association has the right to charge private homeowners estate maintenance charges for such things as grass cutting and hedge trimming.

The trial is expected to last up to four days, with judgement likely to be delivered next week.
