A BREAM pensioner is the latest to brave the shave for Macmillan.
Ivy Pennell, from Ryelands Road, wanted to do something to support the cancer charity, which helped her late husband Paul.
So far she has raised nearly £300 after Lisa Perrett and Chloe Virgo from Finishing Touches, in Bream, shaved her head.
Sporting her sleek new style, Ivy said: “The Macmillan nurses were lovely and they did so much for my husband when he had cancer. Originally he was given just a few weeks to live but, with their help, he lived for another two-and-a-half years.
“During this time he walked the Pembrokeshire coast path from one end to the other. They are memories nobody can take away from me.”
Her shave at Ryelands Road Communal Lounge was watched by Two Rivers Housing staff, friends and neighbours.
