HAVING led the previous Rebels cars race, Ross-on-Wye racing driver, James Auld has impressed yet again with another racy drive up through the order.
From an impossible 30th and last place on the starting grid, James overtook 19 drivers before the chequered flag came out to finish just one place outside the top ten.
"Starting 30th on a half-mile oval track, you're nearly half a lap down before you start! It was pretty intense and, basically, I just ran out of race. A few laps more and I'd have been well in the top ten.
"Again the car set-up worked well so I was able to pass on the inside and outside of everybody. I just hope it goes this well in the next race which is the last of the year," said James.
