LYDNEY beauty therapy student Jessica Caldwell represented the Forest of Dean in this year's Miss Teen Galaxy beauty pageant held in Chester.

"I had an absolutely amazing weekend. I didn't win, but I will definitely try again next year," she said.

Jessica, who studies at Gloucestershire College Forest of Dean Campus, won the local round of the pageant and went on to face 60 other finalists in Chester.

"We had a full day of rehearsals which included learning the opening dance routine, perfecting our pageant walks and smiles, and getting to know the other contestants," she said.

"We also got to meet last year's winners, who were lovely and gave us lots of helpful tips!"
