PROMISING young Forest of Dean goalkeeper Kevin Brain has been selected to play for British Colleges and to join their squad for a tour of Florida in March.
A student at the Royal Forest of Dean College at Five Acres where he is studying for his 'A' levels, Kevin plays his club football at Broadwell AFC.
Broadwell manager Gary Hurcombe says the youngster has already attracted the attention of Oxford United and Bristol City. "I believe he has the capability of progressing through the football pyramid," he said.
Mr Hurcombe believes the British Colleges honours and the opportunity to tour Florida will improve his game.
"Kevin has to finance himself and as he is a student and receives nothing for playing at Broadwell - though he has turned down various offers to play for money elsewhere - I am hoping for sponsorship to enable him to go on the tour," said Mr Hurcombe.
