DRYBROOK rugby club hosted a rugby camp to get more children interested in the sport.

The camp was organised by Gloucester Rugby and its community rugby co-ordinator Terry Fanolua and saw around 100 boys and girls get some top class coaching.

It was the second time that the camp has been held at Drybrook and there has been a lot of positive feedback about it.

Drybrook RFC is this season celebrating its 40th anniversary and includes a junior section which aims to keep children interested in sport.

Club spokesman Justin Cook said: "At Drybrook we are doing our best to keep the local club in good health and with the large numbers of boys and girls who play for the junior section, we appear to be succeeding.

"The aim of the section is to keep children interested in sport which has the benefits of encouraging them to work as part of a team and also to improve their social skills and they mix with other people.

"It is also hoped that some players will feed through to the first XV."
