CHILDREN are to be given free nutritional advice at Slimming World as part of a drive to combat childhood obesity.
Wendy Williams, Lyn Weldon, Sue Holdcroft and Pauline Bent visited the Forest towns to get people involved.
They quote government statistics which claim nine out of 10 children will be overweight or obese by 2050.
Pauline said: "But with a few simple changes it doesn't have to be like that. Young people can already learn about the benefits of a healthy lifestyle by attending Slimming World groups free of charge with a paying parent or guardian."
They say the whole family can learn to make healthier food choices that fit in with their school, work, home and social lives and learn more about getting active. For more details contact Sue on 01594 824181.
