KEEN music lover Maurice Bent has become so fed up with Forest and Wye Valley dates clashing, he is offering a unique service to try and limit the number of similar events happening on the same day.
Mr Bent, of Ruardean Hill, wants organisers of all carnivals, fetes, concerts and any other events planned for next year to contact him as soon as possible with dates and times so that they can be published in the Review in the new year.
"So many events seem to clash. I enjoy concerts but so often I have found two or three happening on the same evening. It means that I and many other people have to make a choice at the expense of other events. It would be so much easier if organisers could check a list to see if anyone else had something planned for a particular date, " he said.
Mr Bent said he appreciated many events were planned to take place on the same date each year.
"It would be very helpful if we could get them all down on paper. The list will be published in the Review early next year and that would be a great help to all those hard-working people who put hours of effort into planning an event only to find it clashes with something taking place just down the road or over the hill," he said.
