A MAN was arrested after a member of the public saw someone trying to smash the window of a chemist with a brick.

The incident happened at the Superdrug store on Broad Street, Ross-on-Wye, shortly after midnight on Tuesday, May 1.

A West Mercia Police spokesman said the man trying to break the window ran off after he was challenged.

Police arrived shortly afterwards and arrested a man nearby.
