THE man whose body was found in the River Wye by a rescue crew on a training exercise has been named.
Formal identification of the man has taken place and he has been named as 46-year-old Liam Stubbs.
Mr Stubbs, of Monmouth, was reported missing on Saturday, November 20 and he was found on Sunday, January 8.
A crew from SARA – the Severn Area Rescue Association – found Mr Stubbs’s body at Broadrock near Chepstow.
Gwent Police say his death is not being treated as suspicious and his family are being supported by specially-trained officers.
