SHOP manager Matthew Owen is competing in the Survival of the Fittest race in Cardiff on Sunday (October 7) to raise money for the Dosh for Josh appeal.

"It's going to be tough. It's a 10km run with lots of obstacles and assault courses along the way," he said.

"However, I have been training hard and I am looking forward to it. I think perhaps the training might be harder than the actual thing!"

Matthew, from Monmouth, is currently the branch manager of Amlee Electrical which is owned by Shaun Lee, Josh's father.

He has known Josh since he was a young child and has watched him grow up and he wanted to do something to raise money for the appeal.

He urged anyone to donate money through the Dosh for Josh Facebook page or contact him on [email protected]">[email protected]
