THE steering group behind the Coleford Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) has appointed an administrator.

The group has been tasked by the town council to prepare a plan which will give the town a bright future that reflects the things most important to residents.

The role was awarded to Meg Humphries, who has lived in the Forest for most of her life.

She said: “I am delighted to be working on such an important project that will have a positive impact on a wonderful town. In previous roles, I worked on plans and funding bids for communities in Bristol so it’s nice to bring these skills home to benefit my local area.”

After public consultation and evidence-gathering, the Coleford NDP Steering Group is now pulling its policies together and gaining momentum with the plan, which will help shape the town’s development over the coming years.
