I HOPE True Blue does not stop writing to the Review.
It is a shame, though, that anyone who has an opinion about leaving the EU should be classed as a waster.
It was said that even Maggie Thatcher was a Eurosceptic but she was coerced into signing us ever deeper into the EU by her Cabinet.
We had a vote on our membership in the 1970s, but long before that we missed our chance at the beginning to make any rules in our favour.
We were invited to talks on forming an EU way back in the 1950s but all we sent was a “minor union official” to report back on proceedings and it was left at that – a major missed opportunity.
If we had left – or renegotiated – decades ago than it may not have been such a minefield.
Now, of legalities to negotiate an exit, expert say it cost us tens of billions in an exit deal to cover our commitments.
Don’t forget we are owed reimbursements via subsidies and money back from foreign aid programmes, etc.
If only the EU could publish its accounts for the last two decades, we could be claiming back billions from them.
