Forest MP Mark Harper officially opened the Coleford Poppy Shop and also attended as Coleford RBL and Coleford ACF laid wreaths at the grave of Angus Buchanan VC.  Buchanan was the son of a doctor from Coleford educated at Monmouth School, where he was head boy. He was awarded the Victoria Cross for "most conspicuous bravery" rescuing a wounded officer under heavy fire in Mesopotamia in 1916.
