THE Miner's Arms at Whitecroft is holding a musical afternoon and evening to raise money towards the East Africa Appeal.

It takes place from 4pm on Sunday August 14 following on from the Whitecroft fete and as well as music there will be an auction and other fund-raising events.

Bands taking part include Folklaw, Echo Bandits, Shadowlight, Essex Dave, Mohican Martin, Lyndon Webb, Bob Smith, Jane Pearl and Toadstool.
