New group for bird lovers

A GROUP of local bird keepers have set up a new cage bird society, to be called Wye Valley and Forest of Dean Bird Society.

Meetings will be on the second Wednesday of each month (8pm) at Sling Club.

"We are planning to hold regular talks by guest speakers and trips to other bird clubs," said a spokesman. Further shows and a open show is planned for later in the year.
