THE new head of Ruardean Church of England Primary School says he has been made to feel “very welcome.”

Mr Simon Manning joined the school from Mitcheldean Endowed Primary School where he was part of the senior leadership team.

He said: “All the staff and children have made me feel very welcome and I feel privileged to be joining the school community and such a dedicated team of professionals.

“Being a father of four, I am very much aware of the responsibility that my staff and I have in ensuring that the highest standard of teaching and learning is evident in all areas.”

Mr Manning said there are ‘exciting plans’ to cultivate the school’s Christian values and ensure the children are happy, successful and achieve the highest standards.
