THE Drybrook Ducklings playgroup has some new purpose-designed furniture thanks to a grant from the Oxford, Swindon and Gloucester Co-op.
The store chain has given the group £975 to buy five new red nursery height tables, a bookcase divider, a child settee and other all-purpose tables.
The Ducklings meet in three small rooms with very little storage space, and to date its staff have had to make do with existing heavy furniture which is not entirely suitable and hard to store.
Without help from the Co-op the group would have had to undertake several years of fund-raising for the money.
The new furniture will be easier to store and move and will give the children greater comfort and safety.
