HANLEY Farm Shop helped get people in the Christmas spirit at the weekend.

The shop at Tidenham, near Chepstow, brought people out in their droves to their annual Christmas market where there were lots of local arts and craftsmen.

"The sounds and smells, combined with perfect weather, really did give a truly festive feeling to the day," said Maria Edwards. "Thank you to everyone who took part and to everyone who came along to support us at our first ever event of its kind."

For those who missed out, the shop is holding another one this Saturday (December 13) between 10am-4pm. All the money taken for stall space will be donated to local charities and worthy causes nominated by Hanley Farm Shop customers.

"We'll have lots of stalls again, selling an Aladdin's cave of crafts, gifts and local produce," added Maria. "Meet local crafts people, growers and specialist food producers and pick up some unusual and unique Christmas gifts and treats, holly wreaths and freshly-cut Christmas trees to take home and decorate."
