I refer to the recent letters from Peter Strong and ‘Dizzy.’

It seems that both of them, while making valid points, are not understanding the very basic and unarguable fact that the open border problem is causing serious problems for this country.

Of course our population is getting older but we certainly do not need to increase our population. This simply makes our problems worse.

There is a simple point here. Without controlled immigration our resources for housing, schooling and the NHS will come under increasing pressure.

Immigration is the major problem facing this country. The culture and Britishness is being eroded.

It is already probably too late but we have to stem the tide of the stupidity of our immigration policy over the last 20 years.

We can stem it by leaving the EU. Churchill was ignored when he warned of the threat from Nazi Germany.

Let’s not ignore the warnings about immigration. Those threats are real and it is our children and grandchildren who will suffer.
