A VISIT by Princess Anna from Frozen was one of the enjoyed at the Children’s Opportunity Centre’s fete on Saturday.

Parent volunteers Catherine Brundrett and Michelle Tonge organised the annual summer fete, at the Baptist Church in Newland Street, Coleford, and managed to raise £405 for the centre.

Coleford Town mayor Cllr Paul Kay opened the fete.

Administrator Elaine Screen said: “Fortunately the sun shone for the best part of the day.

“We had many stalls including photography, arts and crafts and refreshments. Princess Anna was face painting and the raffle prizes and supplies came from local businesses in the Forest.

“The raffle prizes were overwhelming and the support that local businesses have shown was amazing. Thank you to all the volunteers, parents and supporters who turned up on the day.”

Catherine and Michelle are now in the process of organising a car boot on Sunday, July 24 to raise more funds for the centre.
