CHEPSTOW traders are bracing themselves for car parking charges to go up – but they want to avoid a damaging gloom descending over the town.

Chepstow Chamber of Trade is pushing the case that current parking fees hamper recovery and there has been many responses about parking to Monmouthshire Council's consultation on its budget plans.
