I AM writing in reply to Alan Preest's letter. He is true in all he wrote.

In one week Lydney has become a ghost town. The car parks are almost empty, and unfortunately these people are parking wherever they can, which includes The Springs.

In the last few days we have had a furniture van, a minibus and two works vans. What space is left is taken up by cars from Queen Street.

I own a car and cannot park in what are designated spaces for Two Rivers Housing.

I think those drivers need to visit an optician as it clearly states 'Residents and Visitors only.'

Care workers cannot park and I don't know what will happen when an ambulance is needed. Where will it park?

Whoever decided on charging probably lives in a house with parking. In this day and age, where every penny counts, it is a disgrace, and the shops will suffer.
