TWO ladies from Coleford have raised more than £4,000 in memory of their relative who lost his life to pancreatic cancer last year aged just 55.

Sisters-in-law Nadia Peregreen and Toni Peregreen held a highly-successful masquerade ball at Forest Hills Golf Club for their dad and father-in-law Michael Peregreen.

Nadia said: “We decided to fundraise as much as we could for the charity because it is

so underfunded, even though the survival rate is only four per cent if you have it. We were so overwhelmed by the support of family and friends and we sold 130 tickets and had an amazing raffle. The total raised and going to the charity is £4,183.26.

“We have done a couple of other fundraisers in the last 18 months for the charity and have donated just over £10,000 to Pancreatic Cancer UK so far, thanks to my husband’s beard shave that raised over £5,000 and some mediumship evenings we have run.

“We would like to say a massive thank you to Forest Hills for donating the venue, Kirsty Mayo for supporting us and doing chair and table covers and helping with decorations, Steve Cave for fantastic photography and donations to our raffle, The Absolute Beginners who played for us on the evening and the house DJ as well as everyone who helped and donated money and raffle prizes.”
