POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a collision near Staunton which saw a motorbike career into a roadside ditch.

The crash with a car driven by a woman in her 40s happened on the A4136 Staunton Road, near the Robin Hood junction, around 7pm on Monday, October 9.

The motorcyclist, aged in his 20s, was taken to hospital and sustained a sprained ankle.

The driver of the Ford C-MAX was not injured in the incident.
