N the past few weeks the police have come in for a lot of criticism. I would like to praise the local police for the help that they have given me.

Last week I had my handbag stolen from my house by some thoughtless and more than likely desperate person.

This incident has caused me considerable inconvenience, but the local police have been most considerate and helpful, and I want to thank them for the help that they have given me.

Our local police force deserve our thanks, support and praise for all the work that they do.

I feel we are safe in their hands.
