IT seems development at Angel Farm, Coleford, is to go ahead despite opposition from the public.

Tests carried out found traces of arsenic, cadmium and manganese at concentrations that exceeded the soil guideline values for domestic use.

Now should there be problems in the future due to this toxic presence I wonder whose shoulders in planning will be broad enough to take the weight?

Will the floodwater at Newland increase or decrease with this new development? What of doctors, dentists and the general infrastructure?

Has not Bream experienced the same problems? We have massive development at Lydney. The next thing we know we shall have a mass influx of people from the Bristol area which will do nothing to enhance Lydney. What with unemployment, no school places and again, what of medical attention?

It's long since when elected councillors followed the wishes of the electorate.

If proposals are subjected to planning and the housing is part of an overspill from?Bristol and other cities, surely with that should come a guarantee of employment, of schools etc, irrespective whether it's for Lydney, Bream, Coleford or Cinderford.

We do not have enough employment for those who already reside in the Forest. Many have been unemployed for two or three years through no fault of their own. I believe councillors promoting development without employment investigation should be ashamed. Where planning is concerned a fine tooth comb should be used.
