SEDBURY Post Office is opening a new Post Office ‘local’ service at the Spar store in Beachley Road.

The store at Blakemore Retail will be open seven days a week and provide services such as banking, benefits and travel money, and home shopping returns. It is unconfirmed when the store will open.

Blakemore Retail Post Office controller, Stewert Waldron said: “As a community retailer we are delighted to offer post office services in our convenience stores; local residents will now be able to access a wide range of Post Office services during our shop opening hours – 64 hours a week more than previously offered.

“We are confident customers will be pleased with the flexibility and convenience of the new Post Office service.”

Will Russell, regional manager, added: “We are making it easier for customers to get their cash, send and collect their mail and do their banking because we know how important these services are to residents.”
