A HARRY Potter-themed afternoon tea was the perfect birthday present for one of the young wizard’s fans from the Forest.
Jessica Turley of Yorkley was treated by her friend Leah Price of Coleford to a Hogwarts-inspired tea at Toast.Tutshill, just a stone’s throw from where Harry Potter author JK Rowling was brought up.
Owner of Toast.Tutshill, Isla Arundell, said they had received inquiries about the teas from as far away as Germany for the event to mark 20 years since the publication of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.
Leah, her 10-week old son Henry – who was dressed in suitable Potter style – and Jessica were among a full house who enjoyed the first of the teas.
Jessica said: “We’re both big fans and Leah got this for my birthday. The attention to detail is incredible.”
The Wizard Afternoon Tea featured seeker sandwiches, a screaming mandrake flower pot – created by Liz Kayll – a philosopher’s scone, polly juice and Bertie Botts beans.
A ‘Tutshill Marauders’ map designed by Wyedean School student Seren Pilling was also given out showing local places connected with JK Rowling and Harry Potter.
