A PLAN to return quarrying operations to the Wye Valley for 10 years has been rejected.
Paving and landscaping manufacturers Marshalls wanted to restart quarrying at Livox Quarry between St Arvans and Tintern to service its new £10 million factory at Newport.
The company claimed it needed Wye Valley limestone to ensure supplies for making paving blocks at Newport.
