The Mayor of Chepstow, Cllr Paul Pavia (pictured right) and his deputy Cllr Marc le Peltier – and the Lions mascot – hopped on board the queen’s carriage before it left Thornwell football club on its journey around Bulwark.
Its final destination was Chepstow rugby club where a fete was held.
The theme of the parade was monsters to mark the 200th anniversary of the publication of Mary Shelley’s classic novel Frankenstein.
