A 45-year-old Drybrook man was arrested on Monday, on suspicion of rape in a public toilet block in the village.

A spokesperson for Gloucestershire police said: “Shortly before 2pm, we received an allegation of a serious sexual assault on a man in the toilets in Drybrook High Street, alleged to have happened between 1.30pm and 1.45pm.

“The scene was cordoned off and a man was arrested.

“He remains in police custody at this time and inquiries are continuing.”
