MYSTERY surrounds the case of an injured man found lying in the middle of the road just outside the Speech House Hotel in the early hours of last Saturday morning (April 9).

The 30-year-old man is suspected to have been hit by a vehicle or vehicles on the B4226 at around 4am. He suffered leg injuries and was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital where his condition is described as neither 'life threatening' or 'life changing'.

Police are particularly anxious to hear from the rider of a motorcycle and a Vauxhall Astra. Both vehicles were seen in the area at around the time of the collision and police believe they may have 'crucial' information.
