Almost 2,000 ultra low emission vehicles registered in the Forest of Dean – as campaigners group call for more equal access across UKResurfacing work taking place between 7am and 7pm on Lamsquay Road is due to finish this Friday (February 15) but, due to the type of work needed to repair the road surface, there will be no access to Coleford Garden Centre.
The B4228 Chepstow Road, connecting Coleford to Sling, will be resurfaced between Thursday (February 14) and Monday, February 18. This road will also be closed between 7am and 7pm.
Cllr Vernon Smith, Gloucestershire County Council’s Cabinet member for highways, said, “Two popular roads in Coleford will be receiving some essential improvement work as part of the county council’s £150million investment into Gloucestershire’s roads.”
With unpredictable weather over the winter period, the resurfacing programme may change at the last minute.
Visit www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/resurfacing and see advanced signs on site for updates and diversion routes. There are two signed diversion routes, but roads will be open again between 7pm and 7am and at weekends.
