THE A4151 through Littledean is to be resurfaced in the coming weeks.

The work will be divided into two phases to minimise disruption, says Gloucestershire County Council.

Elton Road and Church Street will be closed from Monday (December 10) to Friday December 21 from 9am to 3pm.

Broad Street and New Road will be closed from Monday January 7 to Monday, January 21 2019 from 9am to 3pm.

The roads will be open on each weekend.

Travelling towards Cinderford, follow the diversion along the St White’s Road, Valley Road, Forest Vale Road and Broadmoor Road onto A4151 and turn left in the direction of the A4136. At the junction follow A4136 via Plump Hill, Mitcheldean and Longhope. At the junction with the A40 turn right and take the A40 in the direction of Gloucester. At the Higham Court roundabout take the second exit and follow the A48 to the junction with the A4151 (Elton Corner), then turn right and follow the road to the closure point. Diversion is the same in reverse.
