THOUGH hit by injuries, Redbrook's ambitious reserve team is committed to a serious bid for promotion this season.
They cemented a top three place with a convincing win over Woolaston Reserves, scoring five goals in a solid performance.
"It was a good team effort. We have a useful mix of youth and experience in the side and there is plenty to play for," said Ian Dorothy who shares a joint player-manager role with Ian Morgan.
Having been Hospital Cup finalists last season, the Wyeside team has made an encouraging start to this winter's campaign.
"We are developing new facilities at Redbrook and our aim has to be to go for promotion," said Dorothy.
He led the way against Woolaston scoring two goals. Others were netted by Ken Gardiner, Ken Acton and Darren Frith. Before the start of the game Redbrook were presented with new kit sponsored by The Boat Inn.
