YET again a Sunday afternoon ruined by smoke. Do people not realise that every cause has an effect? I went out Sunday only to return to the putrid smell and sight of smoke wafting its way around Speedwell, Mile End.

That is bad enough but we had left a small window open in our bedroom only to find the stink of this putrid stuff was inside. It was that bad that we had to change the sheets and the smell was still there on Monday afternoon.

I have nothing against anyone going about their business but this affects others. People with washing out or who fancy a nice Sunday evening in the garden have not a chance. The stink was still in the air when I went to bed at 11pm.

Put a stop to this. It's not fair on others who want fresh air. A bit of consideration please, whoever you are.
