RUSSELL Jones, who wowed the X Factor judges with his Jungle Book-inspired audition for the hit show, will swap the TV studio for a Monmouthshire castle on Friday to help raise money the Macmillan cancer charity.
The 25-year-old will perform in two spots during a Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning event at Caldicot Castle.
Russell has strong links to the town – his grandmother lives in Caldicot and his dad Russell, who died of cancer, ran a cobblers shop in the town centre.
He said: “Macmillan does great work and I’m very happy to have the chance to support it by singing at the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning at Caldicot Castle.”
Heather Wood, a Review business development executive and one of the organisers, added: “Russell is an amazing singer and we are delighted that he has agreed to support this worthy cause.”
Russell will be singing at 11am and 1.30pm at the castle.
