AFTER reading R B Shaw's letter concerning litter, I started wondering what part of cuckoo-land is in Woolaston.

Yes, louts who throw away boxes of unfinished meals should be prosecuted, but to have the insensitivity to say "make them on the dole clean it up" is unbelievable.

I can only assume this chap has never been out of work because he would know how degrading and humiliating it is. Oh yes, there are those who abuse the system all over the country, but most do not.

But then again R B Shaw may be wanting to save the taxpayers a few bob, so let's do that shall we?

I would be willing to go to town on a Sunday morning and clean the rubbish up (yes, I do work full time) if he would just pop in town on the Saturday night and take the names and addresses from those responsible, you know, the drunken louts, just to save using the police and the public purse.
